2 Round Mock Draft – March 23rd

Written by Shane Hallam on March 23, 2010

33. St. Louis Rams

Arrelious Benn – WR – Illinois

The Rams need a lot more at WR, and Benn could come in as a #2 to Donnie Avery.

34. Detroit Lions

Rodger Saffold – OT – Indiana

Saffold could easily be a first round pick as a possible LT or OG, both needs for Detroit.

35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Golden Tate – WR – Notre Dame

If the Buccaneers don’t trade for Brandon Marshall, Tate could be an excellent addition.

36. Kansas City Chiefs

Vladimir Ducasse – OT – Massachusetts

The Chiefs need to upgrade their pass protection, and Ducasse fits many roles.

37. Washington Redskins

Jared Veldheer – OT – Hillsdale

Veldheer is a small school prospect moving up boards and could fit into the LT position on the Redskins.

38. Cleveland Browns

Kareem Jackson – CB – Alabama

Scouting Report

Jackson should be a first round pick when all is said and done. It would be a steal for the Browns.

39. Oakland Raiders

Patrick Robinson – CB – Florida State

Robinson fits Al Davis’ ideal and would fill a need at #2 corner.

40. San Diego Chargers (from Seattle)

Terrence Cody – DT – Alabama

Scouting Report

Cody would be an instant starter at NT for the Chargers.

41. Buffalo Bills

Tim Tebow – QB – Florida

Scouting Report

Tebow fits Chan Gailey’s system extremely well and has enamored the Bills.

42. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from Chicago)

Everson Griffen – DE – USC

Tampa Bay goes BPA here and continues to build along the defensive line.

43. Miami Dolphins

Jerry Hughes – DE/OLB – TCU

Miami can use an upgrade at pass rush, and Hughes is great value.

44. New England Patriots (from Jacksonville)

Jahvid Best – RB – California

With numerous second round picks, the Patriots could splurge on a versatile runner.

45. Denver Broncos

Daryl Washington – LB – TCU

Washington could play inside in Denver’s 3-4 and use his athleticism and run stuffing ability.

46. New York Giants

Brian Price – DT – UCLA

Price is falling fast, but he is a player the Giants are very interested in.

47. New England Patriots (from Tennessee)

Jimmy Graham – TE – Miami

This may be a bit early for Graham, but Tight End is a big need for the Patriots and Graham fits the mold of what the team looks for.

48. Carolina Panthers

Colt McCoy – QB – Texas

Scouting Report

The Panthers do want to find a high character QB early in the draft, and McCoy could be a developmental guy.
