2 Round Mock Draft – March 23rd

Written by Shane Hallam

49. San Francisco 49ers (from Carolina)

Dexter McCluster – RB/WR – Mississippi

The 49ers are looking for a playmaker, and McCluster’s explosiveness is something they don’t have on the roster.

50. Kansas City Chiefs (from Atlanta)

Damian Williams – WR – USC

Haley has stated the team needs a new wideout and Williams would be an intriguing compliment to Dwayne Bowe.

51. Houston Texans

Toby Gerhart – RB – Stanford

If Houston wants a RB early, Toby Gerhart could compliment the rest of their runners.

52. Pittsburgh Steelers

Thaddeus Gibson – DE/OLB – Ohio State

With a large contingent at the Buckeyes Pro Day, the Steelers could get a good young pass rusher in Gibson.

53. New England Patriots

Tyson Alualu – DT – California

Alualu would be a pick to replace Richard Seymour along the defensive line.

54. Cincinnati Bengals

Rob Gronkowski – TE – Arizona

If the Bengals want a solid all around player at tight end, Gronkowski is the answer to pair with Coffman.

55. Philadelphia Eagles

Chad Jones – S – LSU

The Eagles could use more safety depth, and Chad Jones can be developed into a starter.

56. Green Bay Packers

Chris Cook – CB – Virginia

Despite a mediocre Pro Day, Cook may be a second rounder, and the Packers love bigger corners.

57. Baltimore Ravens

Brandon Ghee – CB – Wake Forest

Ghee is inconsistent on tape, but his upside would fit right in for the Ravens.

58. Arizona Cardinals

Cam Thomas – DT – North Carolina

Thomas is a nose tackle prospect who will go a bit higher based on position.

59. Dallas Cowboys

Lamarr Houston – DT – Texas

Scouting Report

Houston could fill into Dallas at Defensive End in a rotation.

60. Seattle Seahawks (from San Diego)

Nate Allen – S – South Florida

Allen is a rangy free safety who would be an upgrade over anything the Seahawks have now.

61. New York Jets

Corey Wootton – DE – Northwestern

Wootton was a potential first round pick before injuries as a versatile DE. He would fit Rex Ryan’s squad.

62. Minnesota Vikings

Jonathan Dwyer – RB – Georgia Tech

The Vikings have shown interest in Dwyer and know they need insurance for Peterson.

63. Indianapolis Colts

Dominique Franks – CB – Oklahoma

Franks is a solid corner who can add depth after losing Marlin Jackson.

64. New Orleans Saints

J.D. Walton – C – Baylor

Walton is higher on team’s list than people think and the Saints need a major upgrade.

  2. Really Bad Dallas Mock. Mays is not what we need. We need a ballhawk not a faster version of Roy Williams.

  3. Carlos Dunlap looks like a bust in the making. I can see him taking the money and running. Once that payday hits that’s all for him. He’ll flop like a fish on land.

  4. I just cannot see the Jets rolling the dice on a talented player who is a project nonetheless! They are ready 2 contend now, so they have to fill the very few but sizeable holes with their choices in this months draft. They need to adress the olb passrush problem and 5 technique DE position, b4 they take a wideout that is best suited on the outside when, in fact, the Jets have a need for a slot receiver, like Golden Tate!

  5. I think Groves would be traded before cut. His salary is cheap

nonetheless, they can’t sack the QB
