In what’s shaping up to be a weak senior quarterback class, Chuckie Keeton stands out from the rest. Aside from prototypical size, the Utah State signal caller possesses all the tools that make a top-notch NFL quarterback.
It’s curious, then, that the Mountain West Preseason OPOY has never received the national recognition he deserves.
Then again, that very well may be a product of the ACL injury that Keeton suffered halfway through last season. The injury was a shame not only because it will be a concern moving forward, but also because he was on pace for a jaw-dropping statistical year before he went down.
2014 is both a new beginning and a final chance for Keeton. He will come back as a fresh player, but at the same time, it is his senior season and he has to prove his worth.
