Baylor WR Corey Coleman will not participate in the 40-yard dash at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, according to NFL Network’s Rand Getlin. Coleman’s rehab from a December sports hernia surgery has him less than 100% ready to run in front of scouts.
#Baylor WR Corey Coleman won’t run the 40 at the combine. Only been running full speed the last couple weeks. Should be 100% by his Pro Day.

BP’s Take: This is just as disappointing as the news that Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell was going to pass on a chance to run in Indianapolis. Unlike Treadwell, Coleman doesn’t have questions about his top-end speed so I don’t think it will hurt his value all that much. However, for the NFL Draft analyst and fan, it would have been fun to watch the potential first-round pick compete. Coleman has a very similar skill-set and style of play as Steve Smith (Ravens).
