Browns TE David Njoku makes rookie mistake

Every rookie entering the NFL wants to get off to a quick start and make an early impression on their coaching staff and teammates.

For Cleveland Browns first-round pick David Njoku, it couldn’t have gone any worse.

The most popular player on the Browns’ roster is offensive tackle Joe Thomas. He’s arguably the best lineman in the game and his personality off the field has made him a favorite among fans.  Unfortunately for Njoku, he had no idea who he was.

At a team dinner for the incoming rookies, Njoku mistook Thomas for one of the Browns’ coaches, something he’ll certainly be ribbed for throughout training camp.

All will be forgotten if Njoku can quickly adjust to the NFL game and bring the same level of dynamic playmaking ability to the anemic Browns’ offense that he flashed during his time as a member of the Miami Hurricanes.
