Arguably one of the top nose tackle prospects in this year’s draft, Taylor has seen a huge rise in his stock since tearing up opposing offensive linemen at the Senior Bowl. Despite some character issues, this 334 pound monster in the middle is a rare physical specimen who should be able to make an immediate impact in the NFL if he can learn to play with more consistency. Justin Houston

Summary

One of the defensive players with the most upside in this year’s class, Houston has turned a lot of heads since deciding to forego his senior year and enter the NFL. After spending his first two years as a defensive end for the Bulldogs, he spent the 2010 season standing up as an outside linebacker and proved he could be just as effective from there. He has a tremendous burst off of the line of scrimmage and possesses a great combination of speed and strength to work his way past offensive lineman. Randall Cobb

Summary

Although he may not be the prototypical NFL wide receiver, a player with his spark and ferocity is hard to ignore. At Kentucky, he was electrifying for the Wildcat’s offense and excelled at being their go-to guy when it was crunch time. His open-field elusiveness is off the charts and he excels at making something out of nothing. To go along with all of that, his versatility is outstanding, as he played three different positions (WR, RB, QB) during his time at Kentucky. Well it’s pretty obvious, at least in my opinion, that there is no clear-cut head of this quarterback class. There are, however, several prospects who have the potential to be quality starters in the NFL. Each prospect seems to have a glaring hole or two that, if improved upon, could be the difference between a franchise quarterback and career backup.

1. Blaine Gabbert, Missouri: Despite several question marks, Gabbert definitely has the skills to get the job done effectively and efficiently at the next level. Sure, he doesn’t have a rocket for an arm and he spent the last couple of years working out of a spread offense, but all of the physical and mental tools are present. Blaine Gabbert

Summary

Although there are questions about his college offense and development as a quarterback in that offense, he has prototypical size and strength to go along with outstanding athleticism. He is one of the best pocket passers of the class and has all of the physical tools to get the job done at the NFL level. He possesses the athleticism to keep the defense honest and the arm to tear apart a secondary when he is on his game. A strong defense that can keep constant pressure will be his biggest enemy in the NFL, but with proper coaching and a talented offensive line, Gabbert shouldn’t have too much trouble overcoming this downfall in his game.
