Jimmy Clausen
QB – Notre Dame Junior
The Davey O’Brien award has named Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen as the Quarterback of the Week. Clausen led the Fighting Irish to a last second victory in overtime against Washington this week. Clausen finished the game 23 of 31 for 422 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. The Notre Dame/Washington matchup was a marquee QB matchup of the week, as Clausen took on Washington QB Jake Locker. Other quarterbacks receiving votes this week included: Jacory Harris – Miami (SO), Case Keenum – Houston (RsJR), Josh Nesbitt – Georgia Tech (JR), Aaron Opelt – Toledo (SR), Tyrod Taylor – Virginia Tech (JR), and Tony Pike – Cincinnati (SR). The O’Brien honors the nation’s best college quarterback of the year. Paul Roberts QB – Mississippi Valley State Senior 6’2″ 196 lbs
Senior quarterback Paul Roberts had an amazing game for the MVSU Delta Devils this week. In a 61-6 beat-down of Texas College, Roberts led the offense with 5 touchdowns. The QB finished the game 24 of 35 for 329 yards, 5 TDs and 1 INT, adding 4 rushes for 32 yards in the victory
Division II
Joique Bell RB – Wayne State RS Senior 6’0″ 223 lbs

Taiwan Jones RB – Eastern Washington RS-Sophomore 6’1″ 200 lbs
Sophomore running back Taiwan Jones led the charge for the Eastern Washington Eagles this week against Sacramento State. Jones ran all over Sacramento’s defense, carrying the ball 15 times for 190 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jones also added 1 catch for 20 yards in the 56-30 win. Jones originally played cornerback for the Eagles, but made the transition to running back during the spring practices.
Division II
DeRante Hunter QB – Charleston Junior 5’9″ 175 lbs

Jermaine Gresham
TE – Oklahoma Senior
After a season ending knee injury, many wondered in Jermaine Gresham would take a medical red shirt to play another season at Oklahoma. According to The Oklahoman, Gresham will be taking his chances in the 2010 NFL Draft instead. Gresham is hands down the best TE prospect in the coming draft and while the injury should drop him some, he could still be the first TE off the board.

Pat Angerer
LB – Iowa Senior
Pat Angerer has received the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski Defensive Player of the week award. Angerer led the Hawkeye’s defense to a second straight victory against #5 ranked Penn State. The senior LB racked up 14 tackles and caused two turnovers. Angerer intercepted a Daryl Clark pass, returning it for 38 yards and also caused a fumble in the 4th quarter during a Penn State red zone possession. The Bronko Nagurski Trophy will be presented to the best defensive player in college football on Dec. 7. Last season, Texas DE Brian Orakpo was the recipient of the end of season award.
