Donald Butler
LB – Washington Senior
Donald Butler has received the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski Defensive Player of the week award. Butler and the entire Huskies defense came up big in a huge win over #3 USC on Saturday. The 6’1″ 235 lbs linebacker led the way, recording 12 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception in the 16-13 upset victory. Ten of Butler’s 12 tackles were solo and he also broke up a pass to help the Huskies control the high powered Trojan offense. The final scores are in the book and Draft Breakdown is here to update you on how some of the top rookies in the 2009 draft performed in week 2 of the NFL season. Johnny Knox – WR – Bears After a poor performance the week before against the Packers, not many expected the Bears to beat the defending Super Bowl Champions this week. In the pouring rain, the speedy WR from Abilene-Christian grabbed 6 passes for 70 yards and a Keep Reading…

With big wins against Florida State and Georgia Tech, the Miami Hurricanes are on quite a roll. Could their new-found confidence be providing alumni of “The U” with motivation to perform on Sunday? If today was any indication, Reggie Wayne is bound to have a huge Monday night. Here’s a look at some top NFL performers who went to the school known as “The U.” Andre Johnson – WR – Houston Texans Johnson had a huge day against the Tennessee Titans, finishing with 10 catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns…including a 72 yarder. Frank Gore – RB – San Fransisco 49ers Another gigantic performance by a former Hurricane.
