With an awkward throwing motion, a high tendency to tuck and run, as well as coming from a very option-heavy offense, Tebow wasn’t ready to transition into the NFL. After Tebow announced he would stay at Florida for his senior season, word out of Gainesville was that the Gators were bringing in a quarterback “specialist” to help Tebow ready his game for the NFL. Rookie Reviews: Week 1

Written by Will Spencer

The final scores are in the book and Draft Breakdown is here to update you on how some of the top rookies in the 2009 draft performed in their NFL debuts. Mark Sanchez – QB – Jets If I had to decide, this would be the rookie of the week. Sanchez led the Jets into Houston and looked more like a 3 year veteran QB under center. The former USC signal caller finished the game 18 of 31 with 272 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception, giving him a QB rating of 84.3. Even though Sanchez threw a pick that led to a touchdown, he bounced back and helped the Jets drive down the field for another score. Kenny Britt – WR – Titans Britt had the early jump on the competition, playing in a nationally televised game on Thursday night…that just happened to be against the defending Super Bowl Keep Reading…
