Tate Forcier

QB – Michigan Freshman

The Davey O’Brien award has named Michigan’s Tate Forcier as the QB of the week. Forcier led Michigan in a back and forth win against #18 Notre Dame. A true freshman, Forcier completed a 5 yard touchdown pass to Greg Matthews with 11 seconds left in the game. Forcier finished the game 23 of 33 with 240 yards, 2 touchdowns and one interception, helping Michigan become the 25th ranked team in the country. Other quarterbacks receiving votes this week included: USC’s Matt Barkley (FR), BYU’s Max Hall (SR), Houston’s Case Keenum (RS JR), Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour (SR), Texas’ Colt McCoy (SR), and Florida’s Tim Tebow (SR). The O’Brien honors the nation’s best college quarterback of the year.
