Despite a sloppy Pro Day workout and unimpressive times in the 40-yard dash, Charles’ talent and potential as an NFL tight end were still undeniable.
That was until Charles was arrested on Friday morning on charges of DUI and driving minimum speed.
He was arrested by the Athens-Clarke County Police and booked into the ACC jail at 4:31 a.m. He was released an hour later on $1,750 bond.
With this arrest on his record, Charles’ draft stock could see a significant drop in the next month leading up to the late-April draft. He was already slipping due to his lackluster Combine and Pro Day performances. This DUI will really make NFL (read more…)
