Ryan Kerrigan has received the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski Defensive Player of the week award. Kerrigan led the Boilermaker defense to an upset victory over Big-10 rival Ohio State this week. The junior recorded nine tackles, four of which were for a loss, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in the win.


The Bronko Nagurski Trophy will be presented to the best defensive player in college football on Dec. 7. Last season, Texas DE Brian Orakpo was the recipient of the end of season award.
