Is Bridgewater a Bill O’Brien QB?
O’Brien’s preference for QBs with size in part stems from their ability to comfortably stand tall in the pocket and make throws. This is a trait that Teddy’s over and over again displayed in ways similar to what Hackenberg has done, despite the size difference between the two.
Both plays shown above take place in the red zone and require tight throws into the middle of the end zone. Given ample time in both situations, Teddy and Hackenberg both stay sturdy in the pocket and rocket the ball into the center of the end zone for contested touchdowns.
