Add another USC underclassmen to the list. Running back Joe McKnight announced today that he won’t return for his senior season and will enter the 2010 NFL Draft. McKnight was one of a full stable of talented running backs. When asked about leaving early, McKnight made comments about the pressure to “be Reggie Bush” and that he didn’t want to risk injury.

McKnight is a very talented back but will probably be taken in the mid-2nd round area, depending on how he tests. He certainly has the physical tools and talent to be a solid contributor to an NFL team. McKnight’s status will also depend on the status of Georgia Tech RB Jonathan Dywer, who still has yet to make a decision on whether or not he’ll enter the draft.
