On March 22, NFL scouts will have a tough decision to make.
As it turns out, the two top quarterbacks in the 2012 draft class will be holding their pro day workouts on the same day: March 22.
Whether it’s coincidence or not, Stanford’s Andrew Luck and Baylor’s Robert Griffin III will both work out for scouts on the same day in hopes of displaying their value as NFL prospects.
The biggest thing that people will watching for is how many Indianapolis Colts representatives show up to each workout. The Colts currently hold the No. 1 pick in the draft and are expected to pick Luck. Griffin, however, hasn’t been shy in expressing his belief that he should be the top pick.
“As long as that door’s open, I’m going to keep trying to run through it,” Griffin said of being draft first overall. “And when it is closed, I’m not going to sit there and wait behind it and cry. I’ll just keep moving forward.”
Until the Colts announce their pick, no one will know for sure whether they decide to go with Luck or Griffin with the first pick in April’s draft. Either way, it’ll be interesting to see which quarterback brings in the biggest crowd on March 22.
