Today is the day where dreams become a reality. Of course, this is the opening night and first round of the 2017 NFL draft, which will air on NFL Network and ESPN at 8 p.m. ET. This also means it is time to release my final mock draft and bold predictions for the first round. Feel free to reach out with your feedback, love or hate of my final piece of the pre-draft process on Twitter!

Mock Draft Bold Predictions

1. Joe Mixon gets drafted in the first round; Dalvin Cook does not.

– This may sound crazy, but some teams are more comfortable drafting Joe Mixon than Dalvin Cook. Both have alarming red flags off of the field, but on the field, they are the two most talented running backs in this class. I would look at Indianapolis (trade down) and Green Bay as options for Mixon (read more…)

The 2017 NFL draft is only three weeks away, and the anticipation is building higher than ever before this draft season. This is in large part due to the wide range of draft rumors that are put out by multiple media outlets, anonymous scouts, and even some NCAA head coaches. I’m looking at you Brian Kelly. Anyways, with draft coverage intensifying in the final weeks leading up to April 26, here is the first edition of my two-round 2017 NFL mock draft. Feel free to reach out with your feedback on Twitter, where you can find my handle: @JonahTulsNFL.

First Round

1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, EDGE, Texas A&M

– This is an easy decision. Myles Garrett is the undisputed top prospect in this year’s draft class, and he would be an instant difference maker as a pass rusher for the Cleveland Browns.

2. San Francisco 49ers: Solomon Thomas, (read more…)

Nicholas McGee’s Mock Draft Version 3.0

Nicholas McGee’s Mock Draft Version 3.0

With the first wave of free agency now very much in the books, attention turns firmly to the draft in just over a month’s time.

Many teams have addressed needs with the cap room they had to spend, but how will that affect their approach in the draft?

I’ve tried to answer that question with my third mock of the year. Enjoy!

The Combine is over and, while the tape remains the best measuring stick for judging how prospects will perform in the NFL, there is no doubt the past weekend’s events will have shifted impressions of many members of the 2017 class.

With that in mind here’s my mock draft, with plenty of movement in the first round as a result of proceedings in Indianapolis.

Nicholas McGee’s Mock Draft Version 1.0

We’re on the eve of the NFL Scouting Combine and, though the physical tests the players will undergo over the coming days may change the boards of some teams, most will already have a good idea of which direction they are going.

With that in mind, I’ve taken my best guess at what might happen with my first mock draft of the year. Enjoy!

2017 NFL Mock Draft: Post Senior Bowl Edition

2017 NFL Mock Draft: Post Senior Bowl Edition

The Senior Bowl is in the books and that means that “mock draft” season is underway. This is mock draft 1.0 for me and I’m sure there will be significant changes as the draft process plays out. We still have the Combine where medicals could dictate major changes to players like Ohio State S Malik Hooker and Western Michigan WR Corey Davis. Also, pro-day workouts will serve to give us more information and then free agency will likely make most of these selections look ridiculous a few months from now.

With all that said, here are the picks.
