Spencer and Engle Final Mock – 2016

Every year, Will Spencer and Rob Engle come out of retirement to create a joint mock draft. It was back in 2010 that the two were Mock Draft Champions over at The Huddle Report.  This year was one of the hardest to predict after as the talent in the top 10 is so close together and teams could go in a multitude of directions. We projected only three trades in this mock, but we expect more on draft day. Enjoy!

Final Mock Draft 2016

This is the final mock draft, barring any major trades before draft night. I’m mocking trades in this final draft based on intel in the draft community.

We already know that quarterbacks will be picked first and second overall.

And after that? Let’s try to figure out.

We’re close to two weeks until the 2016 NFL Draft kicks off. This will not be my final mock — that will be posted as close to draft weekend as possible. There’s a trade, so beware.

There are also some bold selections, just remember that anything can happen!

Kyle Crabbs’ 2016 Mock Draft

Well, here we are. We’re two weeks away from hope springing eternal for another year for fan bases of all 32 franchises. It’s difficult to call this a Mock Version 1.0 or anything of the sort, I have a confession to make: I don’t particularly enjoy mock drafts. It’s too much of a crap shoot to be able to walk away from any mock and legitimately feel GOOD about your chances to land more than a third of the picks. Draftbreakdown’s Bryan Perez is likely sitting back somewhere laughing (reminder: he won the Huddle Report contest the other year). But this ain’t my cup of tea.

I do recognize the value in connecting dots and trying to think like the teams; so let’s go ahead and give you all some material to hate from me. *As a reminder: This is not a reflection of my draft board. If you’ve caught (read more…)

Nicholas McGee’s Mock Draft Version 2.0

It’s exactly a month since my first mock draft and, as expected, much has changed.

While some prospects will seen their status as first-rounders cemented by strong combine showings, others may be sliding down the boards of many teams following events in Indianapolis.

The frantic start to free agency is also likely to have altered many draft boards and, with that in mind, here is my latest look at how things could shake up in Chicago late next month.
