The Breakdown

Jones is one of the most consistent and aggressive linebackers in the country. Going into his fourth year as a starter, Jones sets out to prove that he’s the best inside linebacker in all of college football. He’s not as strong as you’d like to see your middle linebacker to be, but his instincts are superb. Jones may find his best fit in the NFL is as an inside linebacker for a 3-4 defense, but he has the skill and work ethic to be an undersized middle linebacker in a 4-3 defense. Jones isn’t afraid to put a hit on the ball carrier but he can get overwhelmed by strong run blockers at the point of attack. Reminds me a bit of Bart Scott of the New York Jets.
