The Breakdown
Wisniewski is going to be the type of player you stick on your O-line and expect him to be a leader there for the next decade. His best position is G, but he played C in 2009, demonstrating his versatility which will improve his draft stock. A tough hard-nosed player who displays some real nastiness to his game combined with excellent football instincts. Wisniewski is not the biggest guy at only 6-3, 306 but he is a natural knee-bender who demonstrates good flexibility, explosion off the snap and a powerful leg drive. Possessing a heavy punch, Wisniewski consistently works his hands to get better position and leverage while sticking to defenders in both the run and pass. He showcases the ability to get his pads under defenders and maintain consistent leverage at all times. Demonstrates good lateral ability and quickness blocking down the line where he exhibits balance, body control and footwork throughout contact. Could still add some weight to his frame and possibly get stronger but expect Wisniewski to be drafted in the middle to late part of round 1 to a team that values his leadership, versatility and pedigree.
