Wylie is a very talented player who is likely to out perform his draft position. He’s limited schematically, but in today’s NFL, I think he’ll be able succeed in the right system. At the very least, he offers a dynamic return man.
Wylie is an excellent return man and special teams player. Wylie is very quick in short areas and shows a natural ability to create separation. He has a sudden element to his game, and is very natural coming out of his breaks. He has a knack for setting up defenders with quick shoulder and head jerks. Wylie is able to quickly adjust to the ball and will work through traffic. He also has an ability to get behind defenders vertically.
One of Wylie’s biggest concerns is his injury history. He also lacks great size and is solely a slot WR. Occasionally on underneath routes he will let the ball get into his frame.
