A disruptive force on the interior defensive line, Cox has worked his way into consideration to be the first tackle taken in the draft. He is our top-ranked defensive tackle and overall our 6th-ranked player in this draft class. Cox is the rare type of lineman that can truly get to the quarterback from the interior of the defense. When he’s not getting to the quarterback, he is consistently causing disruption in the offensive backfield. I expect Cox will be off the board in the first 10 picks.

Lightning quick off the snap. Disruptive force from the interior. Great speed and quickness. Excellent motor. Strong at the point of attack. Uses hands well. Ideal 3-technique but versatile enough to play the 5. Strong bull rusher. Nice lateral agility. Plays with attacking style. Good awareness. Strength to stack and shed effectively. Very light on his feet for his size. Powerful upper body.

Unrefined pass rush moves. Still a bit raw technically. Suspended one game for violation of team rules. Plays too upright occasionally. Struggles with leverage. Needs to develop counter moves as a pass rusher. Would not be an ideal edge rusher.
