You would be a terrible GM if you took this guy mid 1st round. As you said, he lacks natural instincts (easily the most crucial aspect of LB play), has limited upside and his combine numbers prove all of this “exceptional athlete” talk was nonsense. He’s a mid-late 3rd round prospect.
