Explanation of Player Grading System

Strengths

Excellent size and speed. Can be physical with the receivers and redirect them off the line. Above average ball skills and has long arms (32 1/2“). Decent hips and can change directions without loosing much speed. Closes on the ball well when the play is in front of him. Good as a zone corner that keeps the play in front of them. Has flashed the ability to make a big hit on the receiver and break up the pass.

Weaknesses

Has trouble finding the ball while it’s in the air. Not the best in man coverage. Has trouble running with some receivers and keeping up with them as they change directions. Needs to be more physical in the run game and will fall off some tackles. Can be over-aggressive and guess. Instincts aren’t good enough to gamble as much as he does.

Analysis

Ghee needs some work on certain aspects of his game, but teams shouldn’t be afraid to take him in the later parts of round 2 or especially in round 3. If corners move off the board quickly, don’t be surprised to see him go at the bottom of round 2. He’s physical and has great size, so there’s a lot to work with. Ghee just needs to develop his ability to stay in the receivers hip pocket in man coverage, which is what he’s struggled with the most. Should fit in nicely with a team that plays a lot of Cover 2, where Ghee can keep the play in front of him. Possibly transition to safety down the line is not out of the question.
