Strengths
Excellent route runner. Good hands. Strong and physical after the catch. Very reliable and understands the game well. Can beat the jam at the line. Very safe pick. Looks fluid and athletic when running. Can contribute as a punt returner.
Weaknesses
Not very fast, or dynamic. Isn’t a big play maker and isn’t sudden. Not a good blocker, but he gives effort. Will never be a number 1 receiver. Had both shoulders operated on in 2007.
Analysis
Possibly one of the surest picks in the draft. Everyone knows what they’re getting with Williams and that’s a possession receiver. Could see himself fall further than some predict if teams opt for the sexier, more explosive pass catchers in the draft. Williams was a transfer from Arkansas to USC.
Experience
Began starting halfway through sophomore season at USC.
Awards and Honors
2009: 1st team All-Pac 10.

Sociology major at USC.
Injuries
Had surgery on both shoulders in 2007. Suffered sprained shoulder against UCLA in 2008. Missed one game in 2009 with a sprained ankle.
