Strengths
A 3 year starter at defensive end, started 36 career games. He’s explosive in short areas and is good in traffic. A good tackler. Good outside pass rusher. Runs under his pads. Has flexible hips to run around edges and get to the passer. Good first step. A good bit of upside.
Weaknesses
Only average against the run. Doesn’t have a lot of experience dropping into coverage, but he looked capable of doing so at the Senior Bowl. May lack a killer instinct and doesn’t have a great motor. Doesn’t have a ton of pass rushing moves.
Analysis
Misi is a raw prospect for a 3-4 OLB, most likely. He is a good pass rusher and a good tackler with average instincts. He’ll earn his money rushing the passer, but he’ll probably never be elite. He’ll be a pass rush specialist and special teamer early on and then move in as a good starter down the line. Medium ceiling/high floor type of guy.
Experience
Misi recorded 36 starts in his career at Utah, beginning in 2007.
