Scouting Report: Leigh Tiffin
Kicker Specific Categories
Very accomplished kicker at Alabama and was used a lot. Made several clutch kicks. All-time leading scorer in Alabama history. Above average accuracy, but sheer volume of kicks lowered numbers. Kickoff power is more than adequate. Kick power is well above average, nailing 5 out of 7 from over 50 yards in his career.
Kickoffs don’t get into the endzone as often as you’d like. Room for improvement with accuracy.
Tiffin has a tremendous amount of experience coming from Alabama. In the touch SEC, a solid field goal kicker was a must and Tiffin came up big in clutch situations. The all-time leading scorer in Alabama history, Tiffin was only 11 field goals short of the most in NCAA history. Should be a nice addition to an NFL team in the later rounds of the draft and is arguably the best kicker in the draft.
Started in 5 games as a freshman, then started every game for his final three years at Alabama.
