Strengths
A rangy linebacker with a lot of experience – starting 37 games. A good character guy and was a 2 year team captain. Good instincts and ability to diagnose a play and blow it up. Can deliver a big hit. Good athlete is pretty explosive. A very good tackler with sound technique. Very smart guy who double majored at Utah in economics and mass communications.
Weaknesses
Very undersized and will need to bulk up. Solely a 4-3 Will in the NFL but will do well in a read-and-react type of system. Not a good pass rusher and won’t move anyone, but he can get past guys with pure athleticism.
Analysis
Because of his size and lack of speed, Sylvester is always overlooked. He’s an overachiever and a great character guy with the desire to play the game. Most likely a late round pick that will contribute as a special teamer and grow into a solid backup.
Experience
37 career starts at Utah, beginning his freshman season.
