Every week, Draft Breakdown will bring you three standout players from “small” schools. We’ll cover a player from Division 1-AA, Division II and Division III. Here are this weeks spotlight players.
Division I-AA

Taiwan Jones RB – Eastern Washington RS-Sophomore 6’1″ 200 lbs |
Sophomore running back Taiwan Jones led the charge for the Eastern Washington Eagles this week against Sacramento State. Jones ran all over Sacramento’s defense, carrying the ball 15 times for 190 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jones also added 1 catch for 20 yards in the 56-30 win.
Jones originally played cornerback for the Eagles, but made the transition to running back during the spring practices.
Division II

DeRante Hunter QB – Charleston Junior 5’9″ 175 lbs |
Junior quarterback DeRante Hunter dominated this week against Shepherd University. Hunter showed his versatility and athleticism, rushing the ball 24 times for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns, while going 10 of 15 for 211 passing yards and 1 touchdown. The Golden Eagles breezed past Shepherd 30-17.
Division III

Shane McSweeny QB – Wesley College Junior 6’2″ 210 lbs |
Junior quarterback Shane McSweeny looked practically flawless in a big win over LaGrange College this week. McSweeny went 16 of 21 for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns, adding 4 rushes for 39 yards. The Wolverines dominated LaGrange on both sides of the ball, winning 56-7 in a blowout.
