The Case for Logan Thomas

When Things Break Down

I do have reservations when Thomas has to play out of his system. For the most part, the offensive staff did a good job leaving a safety blanket for whenever things broke down. With that being said, going through reads is not an issue. By design, he didn’t always have the chance to do so, but it is definitely a strength of the Virginia Tech quarterback.

When things are tougher in the NFL, the young QB’s improvisation skills will have to be tested. Thomas did not struggle at making the right decision at VaTech, but will it affect him when he is against professionals? That remains to be seen.
