Good pocket presence, isn’t really rattled by pressure around him, waits in the pocket to deliver strikes at intermediate level. Footwork is a bit inconsistent, isn’t a problem short given his excellent arm talent but it becomes more noticeable at the intermediate and deep levels; really starts to show up in Michigan game especially in 4th quarter where he has very happy feet. Shows solid athleticism and the ability to make accurate throws on the move, dangerous in bootleg looks. Numbers might be misleading, receivers do great job of generating yards after the catch which pumps up his numbers some. Really sells the play action. Willing to give receivers contested jump balls frequently, especially aggressive in the redzone; pays for it occasionally with INTs. Good arm talent, throws a nice looking ball especially at intermediate level, tends to underthrow his deep passes.
This tape shows a QB with great talent, but one whose footwork is inconsistent typically, while getting much worse under pressure.
