  • Doran Grant

Grant plays with better than normal speed at the corner position. He displays less than perfect body control in coverage(tightness in hips). Grant shows toughness in helping out against the run. He will close quickly on ball carriers in the flat. Shows good hands for the interception. Grant has confidence in his abilities on the field and it shows on the tape. He has an intense desire to compete. Seems to be a student of the game. Looks to play good in both man and zone coverage in the defensive scheme. A great tackler, will wrap up and throw his pads on the ball carrier. Grant is a calculated risk taker, understands when to jump routes in order to make a play on the ball. He needs to do a better job of plastering the receivers when the QB Scrambles in the pocket.
