This clip of him playing against AZ has Shaw playing as a safety, (looks like FS), and from all that I’ve read, he’s coming in as a CB. And the first not on the guy basically trashes his CB skills and/or play. Could someone (Andrew?) post some clips of him playing as a CB, both against the pass and run plays so we can judge for ourselves. Thanks.

Shaw plays with average speed at the safety position(times faster than he plays). He displayed less than perfect body control(tightness in hips) in coverage. Not sure about his toughness, will come down in the box in run support, but tip toes around the pile. He has average hands for the interception. Shaw has confidence of his ability on the field. He shows an intense desire to compete on the tape that was also displayed at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He is a student of the game as evidence by being able to play safety and corner in college, but needs to get better at his craft. Not considered a great tackler. A wrap up tackler who needs to get more physical at the point of attack. Not a calculated risk taker, he understands his assignment and stays with in the defensive scheme(robotic).
