  • Malcolm Brown

Submitted by Ray Valentin on Saturday, March 21st, 2015

Brown carries the ball high and tight when running with the football. He also does a good job of covering up the ball when running in traffic. Brown is a north and south runner who runs with good power behind his pads and shows a good forward lean to him when finishing runs. He is able to get low running through the line and can run through arm tackles against defenders(slippery). Brown shows good patience and vision when running between the tackles. He will run the ball to where the play is designed and try to get the most yards possible. Once on the second level he looks to bounce it outside and run up the sideline. In pass protection he showed the willingness to initiate contact on the pass rusher and also demonstrated the understanding of where pressure was coming from. Brown may need to work on his hands as he was seen to body catch the ball on the throw in the flat. He also didn’t seem to be used too much in the passing game. Brown displayed the mental and physical toughness needed to be able to run downhill on a defense from the start of the game to the finish. He shows the desire to compete for the duration of the game.

Aaron began closely following the draft in 2005. Since then, he’s overcome an Al Davis-like obsession with workout numbers, instead focusing more (but not exclusively) on the traits visible on prospects’ tape.
