Dyer carries the ball high and tight when running with the football. He does a good job of covering up the ball when running in traffic. Dyer runs with good acceleration and quickness when running between the tackles. Once he sees a crease he gets through the hole in a hurry and runs with good wiggle in the hole. Dyer runs with a low pad level in between the tackles and shows to have power to run through arm tackles. He keeps his legs churning in piles and displays a good forward lean when finishing runs. Dyer also displays enough burst to turn the corner on defenses. He will need to improve on his blocking technique in pass protection as he seems to catch the pass rusher as oppose to squaring up the blitzer and hand pinching him. Dyer will also need to work on his hands for the reception in the passing game. On tape he doesn’t seem to be used that much in the passing game. He shows the mental and physical toughness needed to carry the ball in between the tackles at the next level. Dyer displays the desire to compete for the duration of game.
