Diggs has good play quickness and acceleration. He possess enough speed to challenge defensive backs deep. Not a precise route runner(robotic), he will have to refine his skills at the next level. I was able to see him sit in the soft spot of the zone coverage on tape. Diggs has good concentration when tracking the deep ball and catching throws over the middle of the field. He looks on tape to have good sure hands for the reception(hands catcher). Will let some throws into his body occasionally. Diggs is in good condition and can run routes for the duration of the game. His blocking will need to improve at the next level. He needs to get more consistent at getting into better position on the defender and working to sustain the block. He played both on the inside and outside receiver at Maryland. His best fit due to his skill set is in the slot. Diggs has special teams experience in returning kickoffs. He will have to use this ability to make an NFL team’s roster.

Pos: Stud Returner, Dangerous after the catch, Very natural athlete; very fluid, Above average hands, Versatile, Has the Top Speed you look for, Makes the flashy plays , very good feet

Neg: Didn’t run a very diverse route tree, Hasn’t shown he can effectively beat a press, most of his time came in open space; can he create separation?, Injury prone

Aaron began closely following the draft in 2005. Since then, he’s overcome an Al Davis-like obsession with workout numbers, instead focusing more (but not exclusively) on the traits visible on prospects’ tape.
