He plays the quarterback too much, and you can see the same from how he played against lesser competition but he could make up for it because he was bigger and stronger than everyone else in the big sky conference. He doesn’t disengage from blockers that well and he goes where the lineman wants him to go. He isn’t great at recognizing when the running back gets the ball and creates large running lanes and is a liability on the first two downs in running situations. The right coach could help his technique in becoming more effective against the run and he does have potential because he is pretty strong (32 bench press) and he did show flashes of pass rushing potential in this east west game. He could be effective in the right scheme as a third down pass rushing defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme
